I've been reading some of my favorite books from when I was a child aloud to my nieces for a bit now, but I'm beginning to run out of stuff I remember being good. They're ages 5 and 7 for reference. Here is what I've read them so far...

>Charlotte's Web
>Where the Red Fern Grows
>The Wind in the Willows
>The Phantom Tollbooth

And we're about to finish up the last of Lewis Carrol's Alice in Wonderland (the entire series)

Other than that when I was a kid I mainly read Hank the Cowdog and Goosebumps and shit like that so I'm running out of stuff that's actually good.

(They have already had Harry Potter and The Hobbit/LOTR read to them by their parents)

The Harry Potter series are their favorite books overall, but Charlotte's Web is their favorite from what I have read them.

Any suggestions? Thanks /lit/
