Does anyone have a recommended reading list to get started into Political Science?

What are some good books that EXPLAIN "The Prince" by Machiavelli? I am fairly new to literature and philosophy has never been my strong suit, that's why when I read The Prince I feel like I'm missing out on a mountain of context and significant details that wouldn't make sense to such an uneducated reader. Therefore what I want to ask is are there any good books that explain the meaning of The Prince chapter by chapter? like go into depth about what the author is trying to say, the philosophy of the author, how it connects to what he is saying, and also the historical context, etc. Any ideas?
