I had a cool idea today of a ground hog day sort of movie except you actually see what eons of consciousness do to the human psyche as he slowly loses all grasp on reality. It would be a sort of mix between comedy, horror, thriller, and feel good. I’d ruin it by ending with the guy waking up like it was all a dream but that’s how I would get all the normies bought into it.

It’d also be a display of Nietzche’s endless loop.

Wagner's music is just bad. Theatrical, boisterous, operatic, showmanlike. Big crashing cymbals and strings to pack the tawdry seats of opera-halls. I doubt any of his Nazi fanbois even listen to it. And Nietzsche certainly knew better than to listen to that crap.

Mahler, on the other hand, (and Strauss as well) displays the characteristics of a true Overman of the arts.

>denying the spirituality of the body in favor of anti-physical copium
>he isn't a healthmaxed pescetarian, runner/cyclist, hiker and yoga practioner
>he hasn't experienced and pushed himself to recovery from painful trauma
>he doesn't realize the body is the only possible temple and measure of God
Based Nietzsche revealing the advaitic essence of the corporeal as a force of God on Earth, both immanent and transcendent.

He aspired, Anon. Do (You)? Friedrich grappled bravely with life and all the limitations he faced. He makes no claim of being the overman. He was more than conscious of his weaknesses and his faults. His work was his vindication and his poetry. Amor fati, baby.

I first read him in high school and felt awakened by his fiery passion and iconoclasm, as you say. I put him aside for many years, but have gotten back into him with renewed passion as a 33-year-old. Having lived and suffered, I understand now that his is a philosophy (a philosopho-poetry, really) of suffering, of facing it, overthrowing it, finding joy in life no matter what. His later works have been especially revelatory to me in my old age.

For the new year. – I’m still alive; I still think: I must still be alive because I still have to think. Sum, ergo cogito: cogito, ergo sum. Today everyone allows himself to express his dearest wish and thoughts: so I, too, want to say what I wish from myself today and what thought first crossed my heart – what thought shall be the reason, warrant, and sweetness of the rest of my life! I want to learn more and more how to see what is necessary in things as what is beautiful in them – thus I will be one of those who make things beautiful. Amor fati: let that be my love from now on! I do not want to wage war against ugliness. I do not want to accuse; I do not even want to accuse the accusers. Let looking away be my only negation! And, all in all and on the whole: some day I want only to be a Yes-sayer!
