Probably someone like Rhonda Byrne. Someone whose books are so asinine, cringe-worthy and devoid of any redeeming characteristics whatsoever. On second thought, maybe whoever wrote the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, or something like that. I think you people who say Marx/Engels (or inversely Milton Friedman/Adam Smith) are being a little bit ignorant. There is nothing intrinsically wrong with The Communist Manifesto (or The Wealth of Nations), and very few "communist" countries actually reflect the practices proposed by Marx/Engels.

ITT -- books so abhorrent that if you saw them on the shelves of a new romance you'd in all seriousness give seconds thoughts to the relationship.

An acquaintance just gave me this. I read it, but don't really feel one way or another about it.

What do you guys think of self-help books like this?

My girlfriend gave me this book to read. It's all about how to become a millionaire with some really weird fast food religious mysticism and pseudo-science.

Anyone have any experiences with this shit? Apparently it's huge in the states.
