I almost got my bookish crush to become my gf by giving her my semi-finished novelette to read and critique.

Without going into detail, she had politely rejected my advances when we first met, but in the coming months she had kept on approaching me and we had gotten to know each other better and better. It seemed to me that she had changed her mind about me, so soon after she had read the book, I asked her out again. She refused again, but said that the book had really made her think about how she actually felt about me. She was very impressed by my work and said that she felt like I was seducing her through it. Due to certain reasons we remain just friends/acquaintances, but I'm definitely going to use this strategy again; the beauty of my prose makes girls' panties moist, and I'm not talking about incontinence.
