>sit down
>write for a solid 6 hours
>"I'll edit this tomorrow"
>tomorrow becomes today
>go over what I wrote
>completely unattached to the work
>gut it in editing then move on
>never return to the 20 pages that I wrote
>repeat ad nauseam
>tfw I have dozens of fragments/beginnings of stories
>tfw none of them will ever be completed

I'm starting to feel more and more like I'm a fan of writing and not a writer

Fuck me, that book was so comfy.

>in Augustan /lit/ class
>talking about how Pope and Swift were both sexist, but that they were essentially a product of their times
>Girl with dyed hair and "FAG" stitched into her jean jacket keeps making sarcastic, Whedonesque quips
>"WE'VE ALL BEEN THERE"
>"BECAUSE WOMEN ARE OBJECTS, RIGHT GUYS?"
>"HOW FORWARD THINKING OF THEM"
>awkward silence every time she interrupts the professor
>Professor attempts to banter while still moving on
>this goes on for an entire semester

Prof deserves his tenure after dealing with this shit

When I read Where the Red Fern Grows as a kid, it made me love my dogs exponentially more.

>you will never wander the Ozarks with your best fuzzy friends
>you will never outwit coons and triumph over danger on a regular occurence
>you will never enter the biggest coon hunt in the Ozarks and fuck up those little shits with your birdshot before sending in your dogs to murder the fuck out of it

Almost feels bad

I'd read it, but it's probably better for you and your family to just work on your craft to get published eventually instead. Just know that I'd judge you and consider you weak, possibly pathetic for opting out of life, especially when you have the luxuries of writing and the internet.

>but it's ok
>I understand
>I've been there
