The more I read about ethics the more it seems like people finding different things "self evident" and then carrying them to their logical conclusions, forming the different schools of thought around what those initial axioms are. This seems very...underwhelming for such a Titan of the philosophical sub disciplines. Is this an unfair assessment? Help me out.
