Months upon months ignoring how my friend (who has a boyfriend) flirts with me and never encouraging it, all the while knowing we would otherwise have probably hooked up already and how she is by far the woman whose company I enjoy the most. From december onwards my sense of guilt and reluctance towards it has diluted to the point I'm looking forward to going out with her this week and will probaly sleep with her if given the chance.

Am I a bad man? Perhaps, but I feel more like myself after being honest about my desires, and there's a kind of peace in that.

Theater – especially poetic theater, like the one of Shakespeare and Aeschylus – will never be important again and consumed by mass audiences. That makes me very sad.
