Fascism is Germanism applied to politics.

I don't know what your damage is. You'd note that I explained that I don't think most present-day "fascists" have much in common with early 20th century fascism, if any. The right-wing movements today that you're talking about seem more like "conservatism on steroids" to me.

That's not who these Italian fascists were a century ago. Like I said, they didn't distrust modernity, they LOVED modernity. They wanted to speed it up. They believed in hierarchy, leadership and the idea of being guided toward a bright future. This right today is comparatively a mess. Yeah there's nationalism, but it mixes a billion of different views whose only glue is dislike of the left, fear of the "powers that be" (elites etc.) and longing for order and the good old days, plus a general distrust of modernity. It might as well be a different movement.

Remember Mussolini had a mistress who was a Jewish art critic and they were on some intense avant-garde stuff:
