Whatever spark a small minority of these intellectually gifted people had in childhood is quickly snuffed out through social pressure and eventually peer rejection and refusing access to sex. And we are meant to serve one another as social equals. If you are not performing a service for society or the state you refused your social equality. Thus your access to friends and sex. And America is becoming more equal and democratic over time, both politically and culturally. Inequality in payment received for service is the only sacrifice Americans are willing to make, and it is a sacrifice for the sake of other more important forms of equality
