you guys will probably think its lame but I really enjoy Sans Soleil

along that line, Baraka and Koyaanisqatsi are really good

in a different way, Harmony Korine as a director is extremely under appreciated - I really enjoyed Julien Donkey-Boy as well as Trash Humpers. Some people will tell you its all fucking nonsense, but I think the folks here who like surreal novels like Ulysses would get what these movies are about

THX 1138, George Lucas's first movie - you need to watch it

David Lynch's Inland Empire is majorly underappreciated

you should also make sure to have seen the movie Enter the Void (and if you like it, check out Gaspar Noe's other movies)

you should also watch (imho, this whole post)(also these movies have quite a different feel from what I have so far recommended, as well as each other) Le Offret, Pixote, Pink Flamingos, Liquid Sky, Out of the Blue, Stalker, Children of Men
