Philosophers want an understanding of the universe that is simple enough to be expressed in everyday language and understood without a specialist education. They refuse to acknowledge the fact that the universe is not that simple. The result is the entirety of modern philosophy, stubbornly clinging to the tired arguments buried in the boundaries of their understanding of the universe, borne from their own fear of embracing their own ignorance and submitting to the one mode of thought that has ever produced any statement made from any sort of verifiable authority: scientific inquiry.

But please. Let us have another thread about how modal realism is worth time and oxygen because David Kellogg thinks math is too hard.
