I admire Helvitius, Epicurus, Lucretius, Popper, Sartre, Kierkegaard, and others. But I do not think there is a single philosopher I agree entirely with.

I don't believe we should abandon the public school system. Just because it is retarded. I think if we federalized the schools and put the focus on the students and the curriculum we would be on the right track. Private schools are going to always be better ,but not everyone can afford private schools. Helvetius believed all men are created equal but throught the process of education they can raise there status. Autodidactism is the answer for anyone who can take responsibilty of there own life.
