Bros, I can't become a reader. Worst part of it that last 2-3 weeks I can't choose what to read at all. Hyperion seems too challenging, too large, many other interesting books seem off and honestly my love for non fiction is probably gone (because it is reminding me of how miserable my own life, lack of it to be more precise)
The only time I was actually reading, when was going to work on a bus and read Umberto Eco (loved it because I love history, but pretty sure didn't get 80% of fun that he inserted in it as it is postmodern book, due to I'm not wellread at all) and read Karamazov Brothers (that book is fire, no cap.eventhough it is unfinished Alyosha was about to form a gang and start revolution, amazing character arc).
I want to make myself a reader, it is very therapeutic to me. also i like reading out loud and it makes my speech better, a lot of truly succesful and interesting ppl read 10-20 and more hours a week, i want to be like that too. I'm even skipping my training for a whole year, my fitlit reign is crumbling. Sorry for a rant, describe books that you loved to read recently and why. Or maybe some of you got into reading when you were older (i've noticed a lot of readers started even before teenage years)

Why can't I read books with a female protagonist? Like if there is a female protagonist it literally makes the book unreadable
