I recently finished reading A Clockwork Orange, I enjoyed it for the most part but the ending made me feel disappointed and upset with all its inconsistencies.
I then started reading Anton Chekhov's short stories, and had to stop due to all the rage they were building up inside me. A Dreary Story in particular filled me with furious hate for the protagonist, his thoughts and how realistically human he is.
I decided to take a break from narrative and bought "Can Life Prevail?" by Pentti Linkola, a book about ecology. I enjoyed it for the most part but as I was reading the introduction I was offended by the publisher's decision to omit certain parts of the book, and then I was annoyed by some of the contents of the book itself.
Tired of all of this I decided to watch an anime instead, and it got on my nerves even more.
Why is this happening to me? No matter what I read, I grow more and more intransigent with other people's toughts, I can't stand anyone anymore. Am I in the wrong? How do I get over it and should I?
