ITT: Books that put you to sleep.

Is this a good book? I'm agnostic.

In you're opinion, is this a good book?

I've heard very different reviews so far. Some people told me it was an epiphany for them and deeply changed their life. Others said the author's style was boring and his philosophical reasoning was shallow.

As I haven't read the book yet, I'm not sure whether I should. Would you recommend it?

This book. This fucking book right here, has turned into the foremost breeding ground for neo-atheists. It's also turned into prime subject matter for atheist circle jerks. As far as writing and arguments go, what does /lit/ think about it?

I just read the first 2 chapter of this book. I think his discussion about the existence of God is pretty interesting, especially when he talks about its probability.

However, even though an atheist myself, I do find his attack on religion a bit distasteful, sometimes out of context, one-sided and even ad hominem. Does he continues like this in the rest of the book and in his other works as well?

The Worst book you have ever read.
This ones ghastly really. The writing style is horrid. The evidence is patchy and the man wreaks of his own self righteous and arrogance. A bad book. That is not to insult any Atheist, but the man is a twat.

Best baptism gift ever?

I feel bad for starting it only now, over 4 years after its release.

But I have to say - fantastic book. Fantastic book indeed.
