the goldfinch is a beautiful painting. not many of fabritius' paintings survived, most of them (along with fabritius himself) were destroyed in an explosion.
it's in the mauritshuis. i nearly cried when i saw it. it's in the next room to the girl with the pearl earring.

Bit of a girly book, but I have always felt kindred with Griet from Girl with a Pearl Earring. Very clever and in tune with her environment visually, but also very timid and soft spoken

Can anyone explain how one would think that this girl is praying ?

In french class we are tought that she is praying , but i struggle to see how one would interpret that.
