Wrong. Things actually happen in popcorn flicks, there's action and plots advance, they go somewhere. The only thing that happens in the First Law is way too much gum sucking.

Nothing like a story that meanders all over the place and never really accomplishes much. other than Glokta sucking his gums eighteen times in every one of his chapter, and Bruce Banner Hulking out every time he's angry....errrrrr, sorry....Logen Ninefingers Bloody-nining out every time he gets angry. There's nothing much different at the end of the trilogy vs the beginning. Go Bayaz yourself.
