I'm writing something like that. But it gives a much more sympathetic outlook on the "corrupt" organization and ends with the theme that all organizations end up suffering from corruption when charged with the task of propelling the human race into righteous paths of development. Also has some influence taken from both Joseph Campbell and Lewis Mumford.
Nearly done, first draft should be completed by September at the latest.

In the same night that Adam Addison and Tetra Shills entwined their bodies together atop of Adam's pull-out couch, Freddie Fleense was sitting in front of his laptop; the light from its screen painting static illumination upon his face as he continued to struggle with what to do next. Freddie had opened and closed his laptop a total of four times, incorrectly believing with each motion that he had finalized the decision to either align himself with Len or NatGov. Roughly an hour ago, he had even gone as far to take the thing apart entirely to dispose of its data-sensitive components one by one. First and foremost on the chopping block, was his hard drive. The laptop's casing, which had been personally modified by Freddie, held within it a small hollowed out space directly below the long lithium–titanate battery that stretched along its bottom base. Behind this secretly placed trapdoor and filling the empty alcove of space was a small set of tools that could be used for disassembly. This was a highly uncommon feature to be found in less well-off hacker's tablets and personal laptops, as getting the miniaturized but still equally effective materials and electronic components for replacement proved to be time-consuming as well as expensive.
