What is a philosophy book that can open my mind? I'm trying to better understand the world and I've read a good number of philosophy books but pretty much all of them seem to just be philosophers posturing and trying to find the most inventive answer to some question instead of really trying to understand the world. I think I might be looking at the wrong branches in philosophy or even the wrong subject. Something in the sciences might be more what I'm looking for. This isn't a troll post I'm really looking for some recommendations because I've done a pretty deep dive but haven't found much.

What's a good modern travel book? Something like those road movies from the 60s and 70s.
