A nearby McDonald's is used by multiple local gangs as a spot.
They give smack to the homeless people in the area, get them addicted and then demand them more and more money to get their fix, which leads them to do crimes such as pick-pocketing and breaking in to pawn shops, electronic stores, flea markets, etc. which are coincidentally owned by affiliates (most likely just paying protection money to the gang operating around their area) of the other gangs, which in turn leads to more hostilities between the gangs, as the McDonald's is already a contended zone for drug sales, which in turn leads to dead homeless people and dead gang members on the front steps of the McDonald's.
There's a stabbing there almost weekly.
Albanians, Iranians, biker gangs, Somalis, mix in the shiite and sunni, couple hand grenades and molotov cocktails.
Tired blue collar people trying to get a Big Mac after work day.
Police doesn't bother to patrol the area, or is afraid to, doesn't mater either way, I don't live there anymore.
Still get "news" updates from my ex who still lives there, newspapers and journalists aren't interested, it's routine at this point.
Why am I even writing this?
