How the actual fuck do I read this book I'm so fucking confused. I got it a few days ago and I've been trying to take it slow but iI'm so lost. Should I try Ian Buchanan's Readers Guide? Something else? Are Deleuze and Guattari cringe?

Do I need prior reading before reading this?

I really, really want to read this, but my knowledge on philosophy is very limited. Should I read anything else before this?

I was arguing with a guy today about psychoanalysis. He said that psychoanalysis highlights "problems" but doesn't solve them. I said that it shows you WHY you have a problem (for example Joe's mother left his family when he was a child. Ever since then, he has had a very difficult time trusting people because he is afraid they will abandon him) and that's the starting point to solve it.
I am pro psychoanalysis, I like the dreams theory of Freud and Jung point of view about symbols and collective unconscious (I'm currently reading Modern man in a search of a soul) but I want to read something that debunks psychoanalysis.

Any good books that prove that psychoanalysis is based or just a bunch of nonsense?
