I'm not sure if anyone will have an idea of what this book is called, but it's autobiographical and chronicles the author's moneyless travels through several countries. He writes about smoking a lot of weed in Istanbul, I think. In Italy, he pretends that he needs money for a dentist, and he gets it. I think there's also a point where he steals something and runs away. I can't remember, it was a few years ago that I read this. He's basically a hippie, travelling around with no money to start off with.

I seem to remember that the cover was red and had a solid-colour image of the author on the front.
