Jackal of Nar a GRATE
Briar Knight a GRATE. Also weirdly based off the idea of the Roanoke colony being taken away to another universe, albeit with no actual influence beyond that as a brief seedling of the backstory.

Briar Knight series has one of the protagonists being a white knight whose angst is about being more white knight. But the older ranger slightly misanthropic dude, the scholar-nerd, the tomgirl princess and later the charming spaniard guy make it an ensemble cast.
