Sometimes I like to use a semicolon in my writing; it makes me feel more sophisticated.

I'm commuting 3h a day. Once you're able to completely shut out noises from the outside you can read anywhere ore efficiently. I average 80 pages of heavy text alone during my train ride. But I'm also reading in the evening and before bed.

To be honest, most people on here don't really read anything beyon memebooks, at best. They buy some copies shilled on here and stop after 50 pages, making it a dustcollector. If they remain here for a longer period, you will see the whole memelist on their shelfthreads. Which in most cases is only to brag aout reading, without really reading. Seldom does on see an anon with a heterodox shelf which actually make sense in their literary taste. If one can extrapolate from those threads, I would say less than 5% on here are actual readers.

You're fine, anon.

Consciously decided to stop caring about video games and comic book stuff when I was 18 or 19. Wasn't a book that prompted me, more an epiphany.
I'm sure there was a kid in your neighborhood that would play Star Wars and hide-and-go seek with the younger neighborhood children. Of these people, you would suspect that something is wrong or developmentally stunted. I realized I had become that guy when almost all of the people that were playing TF2 were less than half my age.

The act of artistic expression itself is the important part, not the resulting product. In allowing himself to serve a channel for beauty the artist accomplishes his selfish purpose, that occasionally this results in an object that can be admired by others is merely a happy circumstance.

I was suicidally depressed for over seven years but for the past few months I've been feeling a lot better. I'm still a sad, lonely man but I don't think about offing myself every minute of the day. I think it's because I've stopping thinking about big-picture things, I basically only care about minutiae now. For example today I made scones filled with apples I picked up from the farmer's market yesterday. Realistically this shouldn't make up for the fact that I'm a friendless, overly-sensitive autist who got cucked by the only girl he ever loved, but it helps.

I saw a young girl, maybe six, she was holding a big yellow leaf in one hand and using her other arm to clutch a stuffed penguin (that half as tall as she was) close to her. I usually dislike children, but the sight really stuck with me, there was something about her innocence and apparent devotion to those two mundane objects that managed to thaw my heart a little.

Shine on, you beautiful soul.

I should have known to not buy a copy of Homer from a DDR (sovjet german) publisher. They unironically hated on him for not encouraging multivulturalism and womens liberation.

>suddently another window appears
You better not be kidding. It still looks trashy. Even gluing magazines onto the window would look better.

>the space between the blocked and the bookcases is not sealed
What does it have to do with anything? You can't open the window, let alone fully. You waste energy to bring light during daytime into your room and the air quality is way shittier. Let alone the fact that you can't even have plants in there.

I really don't get your reasoning for rather blocking a window than to buy a cheap ass curtain or view-blocking alternative. It would prolly be enough to buy a half height billy shelv to put it between the four others to make room for the window.

Finished a short story draft yesterday, which despite many novel fragments and story sketches if the first time I've finished *anything*. I'm pretty happy with it, the prose is a bit rough toward the end and will need substantial editing but I think the core is good. Don't know what I'll do with it, maybe post it here, maybe send it to that girl I know whose the one person I've met who actually seems to understand aesthetics in a similar way to myself.
