What are books that you felt literally changed your life? And in what way?

Whether they did or not, they FELT like they did.

When I first read Catcher in the Rye, it felt like that to me. I thought I was suddenly more "self-aware" than everyone else. Of course, I was in my early teens, and very vulnerable to that. Looking back, it's pretty damn funny.
