IMO in the absence of some compelling argument for how or why the universe with all it's exquisitely balanced laws of physics (even if 1/1000th were changed would not allow stars or planets to form) could spontaneously emerge, I'm included to believe in a general Deism/Theism at the very minimum. Some people have proposed that there are innumerable universes with different physics and we just happened to be in the one where physics allows planets and living beings, but this does nothing to address the question of why or how these arose.
