Has anyone read so much political theory and history that they conclude it's a waste of time to think about?

It seems like history has a natural direction and you can only ride the wave (inb4 evola meme) and do your own thing in the midst of all of it. In this way, it seems stupid to hate other people over political disagreements, and it's better to just never discuss it with anyone and focus on the things you have in common with other people.Democratic politics is just a psyop to make every citizen into an easily controllable "political activist", so each team can try and make illusory cultural victories that have already been pre-approved by the system.

Getting extremely tribal about this is idiotic. I've decided to only try to get along with people (to reasonable measures of course) and disregard their political worldview. The only thing that matters is you being healthy/happy with a virtuous lifestyle and wishing that for everyone else as well

If virtues are the measure of human beings
then how come very few people are better than dogs?
dogs have:
>courage, they don't back off in dangerous situations
>justice, they treat their masters with love but threaten trespassers
>temperance, a dog knows how to control itself when trained
>wisdom, a dog knows its limits even better when trained
So in a hellenistic sense, dogs are the perfect philosopher since they mastered the 4 main virtues (and the rest comes with it), but yet many people think they are inferior animals, why so?

What order should I read Plato's dialogues in?

Found this and it seems best desu:

1st tetralogy (getting started): Alcibiades I + Lysis/Laches/Charmides
2nd tetralogy (the sophists): Protagoras +Hippias major/Hippias minor/Gorgias (updated 10/21/2017, see note above)
3rd tetralogy (Socrates'trial): Meno + Euthyphro/Apology/Crito
4th tetralogy (the soul): Symposium + Phædrus/Republic/Phædo
5th tetralogy (logos): Cratylus + Ion/Euthydemus/Menexenus
6th tetralogy (dialectic): Parmenides + Theætetus/Sophist/Statesman
7th tetralogy (kosmos): Philebus + Timæus/Critias/Laws
Can anyone recommend me a translation, that I can pirate, for these as as well? Any other suggestions for reading Plato in general would be welcome as well.

Did anybody else struggle with the Parmenides? I've read about a dozen other dialogues and could understand and enjoy them but all this talk about the "one" is breaking my brain. Parmenides' reasoning seems absurd and relies heavily on 'language games'.

So why is it acceptable to admire Plato's ideas but not Fascist ideas in the modern world when they are practically identical?
