Anyone else think Ada is actually titillating and borderline perverse and basically all the things Lolita was accused of being? What are your thoughts on this book that certainly didn't need to be 600+ pages?

I've read Pnin and Lolita. They're great. For my next Nabokov, Ada or Pale Fire? Ada kind of sounds like my type of story but is very long and supposed to be convoluted while Pale Fire is considered his magnum opus.

Fan fact: Lucette jumps from a ship in the Nabokov novel Ada after her brother Van won't sleep with her

How does this book compare to Lolita in terms of difficulty? I read Lolita and enjoyed it quite a bit, though I can see how things may fly over the reader's head if they're not paying close attention.

this kinda takes place in Canada. or at least a fictional place in the same region
