Socrates didn't deny and avoid actually gay Alcibiades because he was "shy", it was for the same reason why he only joined the part once it had died down later into the night.
And what does "Diotima" say about child rearing and male and female intimacy? What does Socrates absolutely deny for male Teacher and Student to do in Republic?
This revisionism of gayness in Plato has to end, it is only peddled by pseuds who haven't read Plato beyond a like a third of his dialogues and or are too retarded to read 'between the lines'.

Only Diotima's speech is infallible. All the other speeches are intentionally flawed. That's why there are multiple speakers, they're not all Plato's view.
