I'm literally writing some notes down. Just putting down some ideas. I've never written a novel so I might try re-reading my princess of mars copy just to get some ideas.

I think instead of a planet I was thinking of a giant ass man made ring surrounding a sun but some war happened that destroyed everything and now it's like mars with city states and barbarians and other weird shit.. You can do all types of stuff. Like a tribe of all female clones that live underground and made a religion out of maintaining the engines that keeps everyone alive. With the ring being so massive, like the size of 500 earths or whatever, you can just keep coming up with new stuff for our hero to explore. And bang hot alien bitches like captain kirk.
