>spend 3 hours reading 15 pages of a novel >everyone makes up criticisms on the spot because the professor gives us no time to digest it

>complain about missing parts of the story not in the story
>no one is ever taught how to critique
>no one gives a shit about other peoples work, only cares about writing their own work
>professor doesnt give a shit about the class because hes working on a book thats going to get published at the end of the year
>everyone comes out dumber at the end of the semester
this major is a total meme, the absolute only thing it does is give you the space to focus on writing fiction
