I've read that Pushkin is supposedly the writer that revolutionized Russian lit the same way Shakespeare did for English yet he's woefully undermentioned in this board compared to old mad Dosto.

What translations are the best to get a glimpse of his greatness? Stuff that actually manages to properly explain his revolutions of language and also capture the original spirit in the best way possible. Is there any good translation of Eugene Onegin especially that uses the Onegin stanza but still manages to translate it properly?

The one on the left? Surely that's Pushkin.

Is Pugachev a good man?

Feel safe my friends in the knowledge that you understand Russian literature enough to realise Pushkin was the master of it, unlike those /lit/ general babbys who stroke each other off over Tolstlol and Dostoyawnsky

ITT: unintentionally comical passages in novels

'On the march, for instance, you arrive at some small town. How are you going to amuse yourself? One can't always be beating up Jews.'

The Captain in The Captain's Daughter, Alexander Pushkin.

Hi, guys, can you, please, suggest me a good translation of "Ruslan and Lyudmila" by Pushkin? I've found these two translations:

http://russian-crafts.com/tales/rus_lud.html
http://www.poetryloverspage.com/yevgeny/pushkin/ruslan_and_lyudmila.html

and they made my eyes bleed, so I'm looking for something better by someone who actually understands what they are translating.
