It's an escapist's wet dream you stupid cock gobbling faggot, it's such a retarded argument to think that's the "ideal society' where rather trying to solve humanity's greatest challenges like world hunger, overpopulation, and scarcity of resources and materials, you escape from them into a consumerist nerd filled wonderland where you could live out your wildest fantasies. It's a retarded message for both the movie and the book. it tells you to run away and defend your childish fantasies than face the harsh realities of the real world. Rather than arguing against the OASIS and show you don't need to escape the real world and you should face real world challenges, they defended it many times over especially towards the last scene Wade and James where in James's childhood room. if had Wade pushing the button that would have push the button to release malware virus that would ultimately destroy the OASIS, it would have been a better ending because Wade would have realized that people shouldn't escape from their problem but to rather than confront them and that should have been the message of the movie.
