That is actually an expression of love, isn't it? He was trying to humanize them in a way by the sound of it. I don't know what he actually said.

The whole idea of loving your enemy and turning the cheek is liberal mush-mush anyway. Jesus would've said something like "who are you to judge them? let the dead bury their dead, just love your enemies and do them good." right?
That's even more despicable than what francis did.

Maybe because those leftist liberal rags are already in line with what Jesus taught. be meek, subservient, let people slap you, if someone sues you give them your shirt as well! if someone forces you to walk a mile, why not walk two? if someone invades your country, why not let more in? why not just bend over and take it up the ass? My kingdom is not of this world lol, why worry about tomorrow or food or clothes? don't you know your heavenly father will take care of that stuff, just praise your Lord and turn the cheek
