I finished 2666 almost two months ago and can't stop thinking about it. I loved all the parts but the part about Archimboldi and his experience during/post WWII have really stuck in my crawl.

Any suggestions on what I should read next? I've read a lot of other similar books (prose-wise), but I'm specifically looking for a novel that handles being a German citizen during WWII and the after effects, psychologically and existentially.
