Aldous Huxley's The Doors of Perception and Heaven & Hell are worthwhile if you want texts on Huxley's experimental experience with drugs.

You could read both in a day as together they're just under 100 pages and you can get the PDFs easy-peasy.

I think that goes without saying. My small town is in the midst of a heroin epidemic, and most of these people would sell their sons to a pedophile to get some smack.

That said, an intelligent recovered addict, or a writer or songwriter fueled by substances may have profound insights into human nature otherwise unavailable. I dont think the label of degeneracy applies to them.

I'm going on a vacation and could use some cool book suggestions.

I liked The psychopath test, The hidden world of dreaming, Doors of perception, The man who mistook his wife for a hat.

Also generally good books like Lovecrafts works, Catcher in the rye etc. are welcome

I'm doing a big shroom trip at the end of the vacation, so bonus points to bizzare stuff

I read it recently and have since been obsessed with what Huxley's talking about. I'd love to hear what some other people think about what he's talking about.
