It was good for a few reasons.
>Actually a self-contained novel, referenced Voldemort but didn't end on a cliffhanger
>"Hogwarts is in danger" was still pretty fresh
>Twist ending of Quirrel being the mole and not Snape was competently done
>Hints that Harry was supposed to be the "anti-Voldemort" (pic related) even if it never actually came to pass
>No fandom to play up plot holes to
