>Trans people are of all shapes, sizes, ethnicities, races, and geographic locations, but the one characteristic I’ve seen that unites my own network and the trans community at large—more than might be expected in the general populace—is that they support socialistic policies and politicians, are DSA members, and subscribe to ideologies left of the Left. I believe an even greater number of trans people would identify this way if exposed to the message of socialism and shown how much it would benefit them and their community.

For people with conditions that don’t allow them to do this kind of physical work, such a job change isn’t even an option.

Well yeah, it's also on his campaign website that Clinton can fuck him with a strapon whenever she likes. Obviously they got to him as soon as he became an actual threat. Point is, back when Bernie was actually representing some form of (admittedly soft) socialism, he knew that socialism = closed borders. No socialist, ever, has wanted open borders. That is a capitalist platform. I don't give a fuck about Bernie aside from making that point.

Guess when socialism became obsessed with internationalism? When it got flooded with Eastern European radical Jews in successive waves in the '30s and '60s. Before the Jewish influx, socialism was NEVER internationalist, it was an unspoken assumption that socialism meant workers' rights within the country in question. International cooperation with other workers was great, but nobody engaged in it thought it meant opening the borders. Let alone to scabs from third world countries who will obviously work for peanuts.
