Good God, anons. Please get in here.

I was just diagnosed with severe bipolar disordered, and honestly, I’m quite worried. My future path seems to have been beset with a massive pitfall; I’m only 20, and my doctor said that many bipolar patients go their whole lives with the disease.

I’m also writing a book (yes, I am well aware that I’m a bit young to have anything to say, and that writing a novel may be an act of arrogance; I have alleviated this, I hope, by focusing on a topic that has intertwined itself with my childhood- a topic that has festered in my brain for a while, so I think I’m well equipped) and I’m terribly sick over the fact that I have been deemed mentally unstable. Will my work suffer over time?

I don’t really know who to turn to. I have friends, but they would ridicule me in all likelihood. My family doesn’t believe in mental illness- who knows, maybe they’re right- so I can’t find solace there.

Books for this feel? My whole life seems destined to be a tortured one now.

Popularity of podcasts comes from being low effort easy to consume and pandering to very specific tastes people have. Worthwhile things are difficult and require lot of work, opposite of what podcasts are.
You are not going to get where you want to be by listening podcasts unless you've set the bar really low.
