Wrote this cool short story about some stuff in an office. My partner encouraged me to put it on tumblr, would love to hear what you guys think though.

I heard that John David Card recently got a publishing contract with a real company.

What we think?

I've been picked up by a publisher.

My gradual pivot away from the disillusioning career-path that is formal pedagogy and towards a more satisfying, creative, field continues - tentatively but optimisic all the same.

The process of querying literary editors, publicists, producers, etc. is nothing if not decidedly slow, and very little that goes on behind closed doors can ever be said to be properly finalised until after it's actually done. But I can say that progress is steady and prospects look good.

Should everything go well, by roughly two months' time, I might very well have a properly published six-part anthology of short stories in stores. And I might even be so lucky as to have moved into a nice, big-city-, apartment of my very own. Both of which would be an absolute dream come true for me.

In the meanwhile, I've got a retooled three-thousand word proof-of-concept story on the Kindle platform, which will be available entirely free of charge for the next seven days. I hope you find it to be as surreally enjoyable as it is abnormally-, and intriguing-, titled.
