Has anyone ever written a novel about a shut-in NEET?

Who does? Bathing is terrible.
>takes time
>gets you all wet
>so boring
>have to spend time waiting to dry up
>water gets everywhere
>shampoo is in my eyes
>accidentally see yourself naked in the bathroom mirror
>disrupts the natural scent, now is all chemically flowery or something

Ugh

How bad is this for my first ever time writing?

---------------

'When I was told that I'd be meeting with an elf, I wasn't anticipating you to be so...fat' exclaimed the hunchback, completely ignoring the courteous rules of social interaction expected on such occasions.

The elf shrugged off the rude comment with his usual care free demeanour. 'In all honesty, I had never anticipated to be so fat either'.

The hunchback guffawed and took another chug at his glass, becoming irritated by the realisation that he had already finished his drink.

'My chubby elf friend, if you were so kind as to wish to endear myself toward you, I can advise you the best way in achieving such a feat of spectacular greatness would be to purchase me another round of this fine wine, so what say you'?

This was an awfully prolonged and tedious way to ask for a drink, as the hunchback sat uncomfortably on his bar stall with all the grace of a drunk child.

'You do not even know my name yet, but you wish for me to buy you a drink?' responded the elf, seeming surprisingly disappointed that the man who had just referred to him as fat on their first meeting would be so uninhibited as to make such a request.

'Okay, what is your name?'

'Jambo'

'Wonderful to meet you Jam-boy, now please would you be so kind as to return my glass to its rightful place of optimism?'

The chubby figure now known as Jam-boy shuffled over toward the patron.

I think I have the potential to write good dialogue at least. It's shit, but is there potential?

Hello /lit/. I've never been to this board before but I figured this would be the best place to ask for help. I've never read a book before! Obviously I have dabbled and skim-read for my education but I've never read a book of my own choice for recreational purposes... I've attempted many times in my life and just get distracted despite the fact I actually want to read. I'm jealous of all my friends who get lost in books! Does my depression leave me uninspired and distracted? Am I just destined to be illiterate?

Any advice would be really helpful, thank you.

ENTP

I don't have a real favourite, it would be impossible for me to choose.

But I love Camus, Sartre, Dostoevskij and all the Existentialism genre or similar.

Anyway, if I'd really have to choose a more "relaxed" book, I'd say Battle Royale.
ENTP masterrace btw

Got blazed and watched some Wes Anderson films while wrapped in a throw blanket bhurka style. Ate snickers and had a glass or three of warm milk.

Probably the most comfy I have ever been in my life. pic related but far more blissful.

I'm in STEM and I generally don't bother with liberal arts shit but I do read non technical books if I hear about them over and over again.

I wouldn't say I hate liberal arts but I do have a sense of smug superiority for not being in that field since it's so full of shitheads and leftist degenerates sputing profligate ideology all day long. Generally when you see some retard saying incredibly stupid shit they always reminf everyone about their liberal arts degree

>muh womens studies
>muh african american studies
>muh social studies
>etc

I dont hate them, I hate air headed delusional individuals who sput unrealistic leftist nonses all day long, most of these people come from art field.

>mfw a lot of the people on this board sound like the sort of insufferable cunts that take their macbooks to starbucks and spends the whole day posting on blogs.

From now on quit being a lazy cunt and just open a new tab, go to google images and drag the image into the search box.

I'm 24, I work in a bookstore, I really want to open my own bookstore.

But just in case I'm going to study InfoSec first, and maybe some BA degree, you know, just in case.

Well, I won't be a fag. I read NW while terribly ill, holed up in a tiny apartment in Hong Kong while it poured rain. It was one of the best memories I have traveling.

I felt a similar catharsis. Having actually lived in Tokyo, the story felt completely real to me. For the first time I actually really truly felt a connection with a story and its characters.

I don't know about you, but it make me feel wistful; I thought about all the people who have come and gone through my life and everyone I haven't yet met.

I feel stuck in a place too. All those moments are just being relived simultaneously. Every mistake gets relived. People fuck up and I fuck up, and there's nothing I can do.

This song conveys that emotion for me:
