What are the best books of pop-sci nonfiction? I want memeable and interesting stuff that's not just put together by a onions retard to sell copies, and not (total) quackery. We should design a chart of light science reading.

My initial picks would be:
>O'Neill's High Frontier: Human Colonies in Space
>Hofstadter's Gödel, Escher, Bach
>Nick Bostrom's Superintelligence
>Wolfram's A New Kind of Science
>Carl Sagan's Cosmos
>Prigogine and Stengers's Order Out of Chaos
>Ernest Nagel's Gödel's Proof

Mickey assumes that you need universals to care; that one can't accept the knowledge of the universe available to us and still embrace our biases because they're in our nature.
