Hey /lit/,

can you recommend me fiction and non-fiction on suicide in connection with nihilism? E.g. not because someone got raped or anything but just because there is no meaning.

Btw I'm not suicidal, just interested in the topic.

So I'm really trying to give this book a go and so far I've gotten about half way through but, I admit that I am struggling with this. Its is either too deep for me or this book has not survived the translation/test of time.

What do you guys do when you encounter a book which is difficult to read and/or understand? I'm looking for advice here as I would genuinely like to at least finish the book and maybe come away understanding it.

I will say now that I have read Camus before and I have put this essay off as I assume it is his most difficult work compounded with this being the first proper philosophical essay I have read. Would you say its a good idea to look for some kind of overview of the book whilst I'm reading it?

Is it just me or is the translation a bit meh? I'm diggin' it but the way Camus (or Justin O'Brien - the translator) words stuff is kinda funky.
