Cool list. I don't really know the topic, so I don't have anything to add (I'd recommend 'The Mushroom at the End of the World', but it's not really urban-focused). I would, however, be interested to know which one book from your list you would recommend to someone living in the UK. Recently, reading DH Lawrence reel off some plant names in a descriptive passage, I felt kind of ashamed that I can identify none of the plantlife around me, and semi-resolved to fix my obliviousness.
