I feel the same way but with Earthsea.
I just love the sea in real life so much, and obviously I am a huge fan of high fantasy, magic and wizards being the first thing, that Earthsea is simply perfect. It's like it was specifically crafted for my tastes. I simply ripped through the first book in one sitting, 2 nights ago.

>Keep her as she goes, you witless woodenhead! Row, you spineless slave-sons! That’s Thwil Bay and the Knoll of Roke, as any fool could see! Row!
Thanks whoever shilled Earthsea. It's so comfy. I fucking love the sea, my dream is to live by the sea and this book seems to fulfill my greatest wishes. High magic, fantasy and the sea.

I'm angry and relived that Bakeque made the Consult so comically evil. Otherwise I see no fucking reason why you wouldn't join the Consult.
>good Consult
Imagine a world of 144.000 souls only, aided by souless bio-machinery. 144.000 is the size of a good nice city. Enough people to get by, enough resources for everyone, everyone lives a life of luxury, gets good education and life opportunities to pursue arts or sports or sciences or literature or philosophy or magic or anything else they want. The world is big, you might just as well go explore, or build a shack in the mountains and live the rest of your life as Leweth and his dogs.
And when you finally die of good, old age, surrounded by friends and family of humanity, you finally get rest

The intellectual's choice of fantasy is Borges.

The Patrician's Choice is Wolfe (Latro since BotNS is sci fi), Tolkien and a few others. It is not Memezan.
