This is more history of economics or political economy. Economics is a pretty quantitative and progressive field where current knowledge supersedes old knowledge. If you actually want to talk about economics and not just shitpost:

Also make sure to understand calculus and basic statistics/hypothesis testing. At the very least know how to do derivatives and integrals. You can also read pop-econ books like Sowell (seethe you dumb faggots, he's good).

Am I the only one who pictures anime-looking characters when reading a book?

Am I the only one who doesn’t like short stories? Granted I haven’t read the supposedly best ones, like the ones by Chekhov or Gogol, but every single short story that I’ve read I’ve found lacking and uninteresting. I can only get invested in really long stories with a lot of shit happening in them. Take some famous examples like Tell-Tale Heart or The Lottery. They fucking suck, there’s nothing deep or complex or nuanced about them, they don’t have psychological depth or realism or super developed ideas or fascinating characters, it’s just bland and boring.
