I read alot of books a year. I'd say ten or more 400 page books and this is alongside being a full-time STEMlord.
I feel like I'm not smart and nobody is asking for my opinion on anything.
Nobody cares about me. I haven't any influence.
I get swept into other people's control of the conversation instead of seeing the big picture and shutting them down swiftly.
I'm trying to broaden my horizons both scientifically, humanitywise. It's not working. I'm not enlightened. I'm not superior.
I feel like education is doing nothing for me.
Are there any books on this feel?

Is there anything more cringeworthy than an American author attempting to incorporate old world culture, mythology, history, etc. into their writing in any way other than from an outsider's perspective? They almost never seem "get it" and it just becomes embarrassing to read.

Anyone here teach?

The fact that people are calling a licensed clinical psychologist and professor of psychology a "self help guru" and snake oil salesmen is ridiculous. He he does have legitimate advice on how to get your life together and deal with emotional issues on your life. That said, i think what pisses people off about him the most is that his political outlook is predicated on pathologizing other belief systems that go outside of his own subjective conception of the status quo.
