What is a good Palestinian history book that tells the conflict from their point of view?

Hi /lit/,

Just finished reading A Peoples' History of the United States, and I'm thoroughly wound up from all the human and civil rights injustices and massacres and petty entertainments of that nature.

I want some more history like it, but I'm a little tired of the US. I figured I'd move onto Canada. Does anyone know of a book of Canadian history with some equivalence - if not in Marxist pride, at least in centralized focus of the people and their actions?

Thanks!

So, almost anyone who cares enough about an issue to discuss it or report on it is going to have opinions about it. Authorial bias, to a degree, is inescapable.

But there are two different kinds of bias (or maybe they're two ends of a spectrum).

There's bias where you just report facts that support your views, and just discuss the things you consider important, occasionally stooping to leaving out things you know about that would make your side of an argument look bad (see: MSNBC).

And there's bias where you report blatant falsehoods (see: Fox News).

Howard Zinn, in A People's History of the United States, admits that he's only telling one side of the story. What I want to know is, is he MSNBC or Fox News? In other words, is he just focusing on things that support his opinions, or is he blatantly fabricating information?

Reading Brave New world now, but I'm going to read this next.

Opinions? I've heard (And expect) it to be left leaning.

I plan to read a Patriot's History after it as well as a balance (As I've heard that one is slightly right leaning).
