I haven't read any of them but I like to larp as if I have.

I read quick sparknotes summaries online and take it from there.

In my intellectual circle, my friends consider me to have the highest knowledge of literature, yet it is all a ruse, for I am Pseud.

Every once in a while I am almost found out. I will be in conversation about an author or work I am vaguely familiar with and then I will be asked a question I simply do not have an answer for. And there I am, cornered like a rat, my true self about to be exposed in front of the group. The bank robber caught red handed with a sack full of cash.

Yet it is in this moment that I experience true euphoria. When I am on the brink of being discovered, I feel a rush like nothing else I have ever experienced before. This is it. This is the moment I live for. Everything is at risk and I am tap dancing across a burning tightrope. All is at stake: my reputation, friendship circle and my social standing in this small society that I orbit.

I am reminded that all the world's a stage, and I am merely one of its players. And then with an effortless vigor I manage to easily wriggle my way out like a worm biting through a fresh apple, and I am ecstatic to discover that my peers are none the wiser to my great masquerade.

I have achieved the life and status that almost every lover of literature desperately yearns for, and I have done it with not even 10% of their reading hours. I have won the game without playing by the rules.
